AS SEEN ON

In-Depth Retreat Overview

Exploring the Depths of BDSM & Ritual Scene Play: Expansion, Play & Transformation

Open to GBTQ+ men (anyone who permanently or temporarily identifies as a man), of any sexual orientation, age, body-type, or ethnicity.

Join Shadi Terra & Simon Magnus for a deep dive into BDSM's tools, toys, and techniques in a held, empowering setting. Over a 7-day interpersonal group journey, you’ll learn to deepen your kinky play, while opening up your capacity to hold healing, expansion and transformation in a scene.

Maybe you’ve just found your way into the realms of BDSM, or hovered around the edges of it. Maybe you’ve found it exciting, enticing, felt drawn and then didn’t find the right time and place to step in… Maybe you’ve gone deep and desire to expand and explore even deeper.

If you’ve felt some of the juiciness and power available to you in this realm, and you’d like to truly get to the core of how to use it in a conscious, depthful, powerful and transformative way, join Simon and Terra for this profound immersion into the essence of conscious BDSM.

During this 7-day in-person immersion, we will dive deep in how to use the tools, toys, and techniques of BDSM for healing, ritual and transformation.

What Can I Expect?

This profound weeklong exploration of conscious kink and intentional scene play will be held in a supportive and trauma-informed setting, inviting in sacredness, group synergy, ceremony and community. The first few days will include practices, rituals and seminars to integrate the foundation needed to safely and powerfully engage in the exciting realms of conscious BDSM. Practices, sharing circles, seminars and moments of play and rest will be balanced, so that we can find our comfort zone as a group before starting to lean towards - and explore - our edges.

During this retreat, we will introduce conscious kink principles and embodied practices around:
  • Consent & Negotiation
  • Working with intention
  • Working in a trauma-informed framework
  • Containment (i.e. creating a safe and held setting)
  • Working with stimulation and sensation while listening to the receiver’s body
  • Attuned aftercare
  • Scene building

Throughout the week we will fine tune these building blocks of our practice, while we get to explore deeply the realms of roleplay, sensation and power exchange. This exploration will in turn support an integrated and potent approach to the more profound scene play/work that we will invite later on in the week.

What Else is Included?

  • Ceremonial Cacao Ritual: You will get the chance to connect with ceremonial Cacao in one or more of our initiatory rituals, supporting the sensitive and empowered expression of Eros & Kink.
  • Three Additional Zoom Calls: A foundational preparation call & two follow-up integration calls. All of these calls will be guided by Simon and Shadi, and offer valuable extra content to this event.

Is This for Me?

This week-long retreat is open to GBTQ+ men (anyone who permanently or temporarily identifies as a man), of any sexual orientation, age, body-type, or ethnicity.

It will not be of interest to those who are:
  • Looking for a typical group-sex experience
  • Seeking a pleasurable/sexual holiday in the company of other men
  • Those who are looking to learn tantra massage techniques

This intensive explores BDSM's tools, toys and techniques to engage in healing, expansive and transformational work/play, in a held interpersonal group setting. You will be taught some basic techniques (rope safety & restraint, impact/sensation play, etc...) however we focus mostly on the skill set needed for creating deeply nourishing scene containers rather than teaching specific techniques.

This experience is designed for those who have integrated a basic foundation in any one of the following:
  • Sacred sexuality/conscious intimacy/(neo-)tantra
  • BDSM or conscious kink
  • Transformational spaces/ritual healing work (group or 1-1)

... And who are desiring to explore consciously, safely and powerfully the wide field of possibility that is the realm of conscious kink.

What Do You Mean By Transformation?

Transformation is the space in between who we are and who we want to be. It’s an intentional time and space where we consciously get to work for the betterment of ourselves, someone or something. It’s a non-ordinary reality and a space where we hold a creative tension between where we are now, and where we are wanting to go. Sometimes that means looking at what is in the way, or creating a receptive environment to let something new in and embody it fully. A ceremony or ritual can also be a space of transformation, depending on its intention and context, because it’s a consciously held and crafted space for the manifestation of an intention.

In the context of this retreat, we co-create a group transformational space where we may journey into deeper wholeness, embodiment and expression of ourselves and each other, using our kinks and unconventional desires as pointers to where we may want to expand into something, or heal/transform something that is in the way. When wielded with care and skill, scene play can even help us heal from trauma. Even if we’re not intending for a scene to be healing or transformative, trauma may come forward. For this reason, creating a space where we can hold whatever arises with courage, love, compassion and curiosity is key.

This container will offer potent growth opportunities and a loving, compassionate, yet powerfully guided setting where we can embrace and express parts of us that may seek deeper expression. Sometimes these parts may be tender and are looking for a loving scene, sometimes they may be courageous and desire to be challenged in a scene, or they may seek safety and desire to be deeply held and contained. Or something else...

In the framework of this immersive, we hold it all sacred. And throughout the journey, you’ll be able to receive tools, guidance and support for embracing both the challenges and the blessings that you’ll find in a transformational space, so that you may go home more alive, more empowered and more whole!
