Out & Wild II: The Ultimate Queer Costa Rica Adventure

06/08/2025 - 06/14/2025
AS SEEN ON

In-Depth Retreat Overview

Get ready to go BIGGER, BOLDER, and WETTER than ever before! Out & Wild is back, and this time, we’re turning up the adrenaline with the ultimate queer outdoor adventure. This is not your grandma’s nature walk-unless your grandma is a thrill-seeker who loves class 5 rapids, ziplining through the jungle, and hiking to waterfalls with a little magic.

Led by Naked and Afraid: Last One Standing legend Dan Link, this 6-day retreat is an all-you-can-handle buffet of adventure: think rafting that makes you scream (the good kind), surfing that makes you fall in love with the ocean (or the hottie next to you), and hikes that remind you nature is the ultimate gay icon.

THE ADVENTURE LINEUP

All activities are OPTIONAL. Class 4-5 rapids seem a little too intense for your vacation? Feel free to hang back, relax at your choice of SIX waterfalls on the property, and maybe treat yourself to a massage or a glass of wine by the pool.

Day 1: Arrival & Welcome
Settle into the Jungle Gayborhood, meet your fellow adventurers, and enjoy a delicious dinner. Let the anticipation build-we’ve got an epic week ahead.

🦥 Day 2: Mangrove Kayak & SUP Safari
Today we trade the jungle for the coast with a serene paddle through Costa Rica’s lush mangrove forest. Whether by kayak or stand-up paddleboard, you’ll glide through winding waterways teeming with wildlife-think monkeys, sloths, and tropical birds-before emerging at the ocean. It’s a peaceful, awe-filled journey that blends movement, mindfulness, and magic.

Day 3: Waterfall Hike
Hike to a hidden jungle waterfall for a refreshing swim and some well-earned downtime in nature’s embrace. In the afternoon, tap into your inner wild with a hands-on primitive survival course-think fire-making, foraging, and reconnecting with the earth in a whole new way.

Day 4: Class 3-4/5 Whitewater Rafting
For those craving high-energy adventure, this is your day. Big waves, big thrills, and big celebrations at the end! But if you’d rather keep it chill, opt for aday of leisure at our jungle paradise, where you can enjoy massage, yoga, or a well-earned nap.

Day 5: Microdose Waterfall Hike
Step into the magic of the jungle with aguided waterfall hike and an optional microdose experience. Swim in crystal-clear pools, soak in the wisdom of the land, and let nature work its healing magic. (No water navigation after the microdose-just relaxation and bliss.)

‍️Day 6: Surf, Beach & Sendoff Party
We head to Dominical Beach for a surf lesson-whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned shredder, our instructors will get you standing on a board in no time. Afterward, we’ll lounge on the beach, soak up the sun, and close out the retreat with a fabulous, joy-fueled queer dance party under the stars (and disco ball).

Day 7: Farewell for now
Depart with a full heart, unforgettable memories, and a whole new adventure family. Hugs, tears, and promises to return.
