Position Overview

Are you ready to immerse yourself in a vibrant community and support various aspects of our retreat center? As a Volunteer, you'll play a crucial role in enhancing the Jungle Gayborhood experience across multiple areas, including guest services, food & beverage, wellness, entertainment, and more.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Support: Greet and assist guests, ensuring they feel welcomed and informed about our programs and activities.

Food & Beverage: Assist with meal preparation, cooking, and presentation. Help maintain kitchen hygiene and support food service during events.

Wellness and Movement: Support activities such as yoga, fitness, movement, somatic embodiment, bodywork, massage, and physical therapy.

Programming and Entertainment: Contribute to events like drum circles, fire shows, ecstatic dance, and more. Engage in music-making, aerials/acrobats, voice activation, and other entertainment activities.

Maintenance and Housekeeping: Help with general upkeep of the retreat center and ensure a clean and organized environment.

Marketing and Media: Assist with social media, marketing efforts, and recording footage of events and activities.

Qualifications

Enthusiasm for supporting a diverse and inclusive community.

Flexibility to adapt to various tasks and roles.

Ability to work well in a team and follow directions.

Willingness to take initiative and learn new skills.

Comfortable with physical work and participating in a high-energy environment.

Interest in LGBTQ+ issues and commitment to creating a positive, vibrant atmosphere.

Additional Information

Volunteer roles include accommodation and some meals.

Commitment of at least 2 months is required.

Willingness to share a tent and work in a clothing-optional setting.

Open to supporting a range of activities and responsibilities as needed.
